Texas TEKS LA.4.11.D.ix Capitalization Tutorials - Made-for-Easel Activities

Each of these Made-for-Easel Activities focuses on one set of capitalization rules for TEKS LA.4.11.D.ix. The module begins with a brief tutorial. Texas fourth grade students then complete a series of interactive practice activities with thumbs-up/thumbs-down, sorting, and highlighting.

Note: These resources are 100% digital, and students need gmail accounts to access them. No print materials are included.

Included in each module:

• teacher directions and an answer key (remove before assigning)
• directions for using tools
• brief direct instruction
• five terms for which students give thumbs-up (capitalized correctly) or thumbs down (not capitalized correctly), as well as answers for checking
• a sorting activity
• an activity for which students must highlight words that should be capitalized

Topics specific to this TEKS standard:

• languages and groups (including races and nationalities)
• titles of books, stories, essays, etc.
• time periods and historical events
• documents and laws

Oral directions are also provided. Kids just push the sound icon.
