Description
We all know how important it is to make sure that we are being culturally relevant in our teaching practice, but it is sometimes very time-consuming to create activities on our own. This idea for multiplying polynomials and modeling quadratics came up at a teacher training I attended recently and inspired by a Black History Month Bulletin board idea I was working on at the time.
I am including a large sheet on the last page that can be used on day 1 of the math practice sheets to clarify the difference between perimeter and area and connect the box method to the area formula.
