Description

Io Pars Secunda (Io Part 2)

Please do Io Pars Prima (Io Part 1) with your class first!

This is the sixth in a series of Latin stories I have written for my beginning Latin students. The stories Io Part 1 and Io Part 2 can be used as a stand-alone unit, or in conjunction with Beginner Latin stories 1-4.

In Io Pars Secunda, Juno confiscates the cow Io and commands Argus to guard it. Argus's special qualities are explained. Illustrated slides for the ending tell the story of how the peacock's tail got its eyes.

This resource is three google drive files:

I. Illustrated slides for previewing vocabulary (11 slides - review from part 1)

II. Google docs student packet (5 pages) which includes:

III. Illustrated Latin powerpoint (10 slides) of the end of the story, in which Io realizes she is a cow, tries to talk to her father but can only moo, and is rescued by Mercury.
