Analyzing Popular Song Lyrics

Do you struggle to motivate your students to learn poetry elements? Make it more engaging by analyzing song lyrics from a variety of artists! This bundle includes four songs to analyze. My students LOVED this unit. This was one of the few times they begged for classtime not to end. They came to class each day eager and ready to learn more.

Also included are links to the songs to listen to them with the lyrics on the screen. Each song also has a list of questions to analyze poetry elements within the song.

Each song includes a copy for the teacher with the answers included and one for the students with room for them to take notes and analyze the different poetry elements.
