Description

Have your students take an interactive tour of Georgia's regions and habitats with this fun clickable powerpoint. Use this as a whole group activity or use it as a webquest. Updated to match the new Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE), this activity will excite your students about science. Each habitat includes a variety of clickable plants, animals, and points of interest. Each image takes you to an information page that describes the plant or animal in more detail. Use the foldables or notes pages to take notes while having fun!

a. Ask questions to differentiate between plants, animals, & habitats found within Georgia’s geographic regions.

b. Identify external features & adaptations (camouflage, hibernation, protection, migration, mimicry) of animals to construct an explanation of how these features/adaptations allow survival in their habitat.

c. Use evidence to construct an explanation of why some organisms can thrive in one habitat & not another.
