Resource Specs

These Base Ten Blocks were created at a larger size (around 7.5-10 inches) but were designed to be easily sized down for a variety of uses. They are high-resolution 300 dpi PNG files with transparent backgrounds for easy layering. Each of the 2D and 3D graphics were created in my 12 signature colors, which gives you quite a variety.

Blackline versions are also included for printables and worksheets. They will photocopy nice and crisp. Please see the Preview file for a look at all 84 graphics included in this bundle.

FAQ: Why are the graphics so large? Can I use them for flashcards and worksheets?

These Base 10 graphics were purposefully created at larger sizes. Anything made with pixels (i.e. graphics, digital photos) will degrade in quality when enlarged, no matter how high the resolution -- but they can always be sized down with no problem. I wanted these graphics to be just as crisp if used for charts or bulletin boards as they would be for worksheets. TIP: Open the different graphics you plan to use in the program of your choice. Then click and drag each one from a corner to get them to the size you need. Once you have your desired size, you can copy and paste the graphics as many times as you need to, and they will all be the same size. You can easily use them for worksheets and flashcards.

Understand that the two digits of a two-digit number represent amounts of tens and ones. Understand the following as special cases:
10 can be thought of as a bundle of ten ones - called a “ten.”
The numbers from 11 to 19 are composed of a ten and one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or nine ones.
