Here are the 24 math skills, across four areas (Basic Algebra, Advanced Algebra, Problem Solving and Data Analysis, and Additional Topics), that are present on the SAT Math portion (Section 3 and 4) of the exam.
My students struggle with any multiple choice standardized math question.(or any multiple choice test question!!)I posted a very wordy multiple choice question on my board and asked students to read it quietly for 2 minutes and then asked: "How many of you lost interest half-way through this problem and would just say choice C sounds good?"Almost every single one of my students raised their hand!!!My students struggle with multiple choice math problems and I needed to find a way to help them!!!
This guided notes sheet gives directions on how to find slope, distance, and midpoint. It includes locations for definitions of triangles and quadrilaterals as well as a flow chart to see the connections. Finally, it discusses how to determine which quadrilateral is given on a grid using slope and distance. There are examples to go with each concept.
This is a free product I use when solving mathematical word problems. -You can print and laminate the first page for each student to use with a dry erase marker, or you can use it for intervention purposes.- The second-third pages include an answer sheet that can be used for group assignments or individually (both provided). This made checking answers for assignments super quick. -The final page is a reflection piece that can be used to check for understanding, see where students might be strugg
