*FULLY UPDATED SEPTEMBER 2023*The Man Who Walked Between the Towers, 30 pages, CCSSThe Man Who Walked Between the Towers is a book by Mordicai Gerstein, written about Philippe Petit's famous high-wire walk between the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, on August 7, 1974. It does not focus on the tragedies of 9/11, but rather fondly remembering the World Trade Center through this wondrous event. 6th Grade Survival Unit Plan
This is a reading and writing unit for 6th graders in which the students will learn how to create a graphic essay in Microsoft Word. The topic of their essay will be to create a survival guide for one of the dangers of the Idaho Wilderness. Are we too wired? Debate Hyperdoc
A Scholastic Scope subscription is required to access the “Are we too wired?” article. However, this hyperdoc can easily be adapted to fit any debate type article. I just happened to choose the theme of technology, so the other centers have a technology focus.
