I have been teaching in the province of Ontario, Canada since 2016 and have taught a variety of courses and grade levels over the years. Some of my experiences include grade 9 & 10 science, grade 11 & 12 biology, a variety of physical education curriculum and dramatic arts.
I would say I have a hybrid teaching style. I do not like to box myself in when it comes to my teaching style as I am a firm believer that I should be able to adjust my style and methods according to the students in front of me. Every student and every class will demand something different of me and in order to remain successful for my own personal goals and to create an environment for success for my students, flexibility and resiliency from me is key.
Yet to be added
I graduated from York University for both my undergraduate program in kinesiology and my Bachelor of Education.
When in university I took many sociology based courses, since then I have continued to learn and stay informed on both current events and also expand my understanding of history in order to better understand social inequities and systemic oppression's. I believe that all forms of education need to be grounded in these theories in order to better understand the needs of our students as individuals.
