Ye Olde History Shoppe

I have 14 years of total teaching experience and 13 years of experience teaching AP courses: both APUSH and Euro. In both subjects, my students have achieved over a 90% pass rate, and especially excelled in the written portion of the Exam. I make it a point to build historical thinking skills and guide students to make connections throughout each lesson. This constant critical thinking practice helps students master the skills needed for success on the AP Exam, in college, and beyond.

History is a dynamic, engaging, and exciting subject that should be taught accordingly. Gone are the days of memorizing dates, and good riddance! Students now learn about why their world is the way it is, develop empathy, and improve their critical thinking by studying History. When students can put themselves into the shoes of people from the past and work collaboratively with their peers, the past comes alive. Through my lessons, I seamlessly integrate content-delivery, skill-development, and fun! By bringing History alive, we create active, responsible citizens who will ensure our "future history" is something we can be proud of.
