I spent the first 6 years of my career teaching in Dominican Republic. I taught third grade for three years, subbed for a year and taught middle school English for two years. This is my seventh year teaching and I am back in my home state teaching third grade once again. I have my Masters of Education, an ESL certification, and am pursuing my National Board Teacher Certification: Early Adolescent Language Arts.
I believe in letting scholars do the heavy lifting; I facilitate. I am not afraid to let them struggle through a process because I believe you learn the most from putting in the work.
Hopefully one day. =)
I received my B.A in teaching from University of Valley Forge in Phoenixville, PA. I later received my Masters of Education from Indiana Wesleyan University and an ESL certification from the state of Pennsylvania. I am certified K-6 and Middle English 6-9.
I hope to one day leave the full time classroom to specialize in ESL and/or teacher at the collegiate level.
