The Holland sisters, Kathy and Frieda, have over 50 years of teaching experience between them. Kathy has been a classroom teacher in 2nd and 3rd grade for 26 years, teaching at an award-winning elementary school in Kentucky and earning a Rank I certificate. Frieda is a university professor who has taught a variety of courses in music education, theatre, and dance. She also has a K-12 Rank I teaching certificate and earned an endorsement in Gifted and Talented Education.
Together, Kathy and Frieda have specialized in integrating the Arts into the regular classroom through innovative strategies and activities. Finding the connections between disciplines is a passion they explore in all aspects of teaching. They are high-energy, hands-on teachers who encourage and strive to bring out the best in every student.
Kathy was recently named one of Kentucky's "Teachers Who Make a Difference" by the University of Kentucky. Frieda has been recognized by the state legislature in Kentucky for her outstanding work in education. She serves as a grant reviewer for the Kentucky Department of Education in Foreign Language and Arts Integration.
