Formerly, I taught grade one French Immersion in Milton, Ontario, Canada. I still support French teachers - especially in math and Readers' / Writers' workshop. I have also collaborated and coached teachers from K-6 in Literacy and Math. My passion is supporting teachers in making their teaching (and learning) more relevant and meaningful in order to increase engagement for everyone, and save educators' valuable time. Taking writers' workshop outside, and integrating it across the curriculum, has been an exciting co-learning for me, and one that I love to share! Currently, I support big thinking, risk-taking, and edge-stretching, in all facets of education, by collaborating with teams and individuals, who are doing (and/or want to do) innovative things.
I love getting kids up and moving - preferably outside - engaging all parts of their brain, and making learning as fun, memorable, and interactive as possible! I focus on the "soft skills", the 21st-century learning. I help kids learn about their brains and mindset, how to overcome self-doubt, build resilience, increase memory, explore, tinker, fail, learn, succeed, and celebrate.
