TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught ELA in grades 5-12 -- from the inner city to parochial school to public school in the suburbs-- and have over 15 years of experiences: --AP Lit and Comp --Grades 9-12 English --Grade 12 Senior English Electives --Journalism grades 11-12 --Mythology grades 6-10 --Grades 6-8 ELA --ENL Levels 1, 2; Grades 7-8 --Social Studies grades 5-8 --Religion (Christian -Roman Catholic)

MY TEACHING STYLE

I teach to share my love of books with students. Making personal connections with your students is essential for their engagement and success. All kids want the same thing: to have someone think they are important. They need to be given choices so they can be themselves!
