I do a lot of musicals. I've been in Les Miserables (Javert), Hairspray (Corny Collins), Bye Bye Birdie (Conrad Birdie), Rent (Paul), Aida (Zoser), A Chorus Line (Mike) and more. I love to sing and realized that in singing, I can remember words forever, so that's the key to getting my students to remember the theorems, concepts, and formulas in math that I struggle to get them to retain long term. They work. I had a student in their mid 30's see me in the mall and recite several songs to me that they learned over 13 years ago.
