TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught 3rd grade for four years and 2nd grade for two years. Now I'm am working as an instructional coach. I have taught at a Title I school and a non Title 1 school in Northern Virginia. I love teaching because I'm fascinated by the way students learn!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I'm always looking for ways to improve so I read tons of professional development books and take many different training as well. I am striving to include tasks in my classroom with multiple entry points, that challenge even my top students with increased rigor. I also try to balance that with consistent review. I want the things I use in my classroom to look good, but I never to compromise content with cute. I work to ensure that all my student succeed, I'm not ok with crossing my fingers and hoping.
