I graduated from undergrad with my bachelors in Education and another in History. My career in education started when I taught Middle School Social Studies/History for two years for 6th and 7th graders. After those two years, I decided to pursue my masters in education, specifically in Counselor Education. I graduated and began my School Counseling career (surprise, surprise) in middle school! Caveat, internationally in the Middle East! I'm currently in my third year as a School Counselor and I absolutely love it!
My approach to teaching as a school counselor, whether in-person or virtual, is first identifying my school culture and student needs to then develop a response and relevant school counseling curriculum.
