Manzana para la maestra

I currently teach high school levels of Spanish in New York State, and have experience in grades 7 through 12. I also possess a Social Studies 7-12 teaching certification.

My classroom emphasizes student-centered and cooperative learning. I aim for my course to not only prepare students for exams, but also to teach them practical use for language. I employ comprehensible input based strategies backed by a small amount of traditional grammar instruction. I look for my activities to be engaging and fun without sacrificing learning.

B.A. Italian B.A. International Relations M.A.T. Social Studies Education 7-12, an additional 30 credits in Spanish completed during my Masters study.

I'm a mother of four and lover of languages. I speak Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and English. I hope to someday learn more!
