My teaching experience includes 5 years teaching third grade and 6 years tutoring grades K-9.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I try to incorporate a lot of poetry and literature in my math, science, and social studies lessons to help solidify students' learning. I find that if my students can connect a story to a concept, they will remember it better. I also try to incorporate real-life situations in my daily math lessons so my students can not only make connections to the concept but realize how a particular concept is useful, if not essential, for success in life.
