I am a natural born teacher. I began teaching younger children in my neighborhood when I was twelve. My official classroom experience began when I taught 5th grade for 4 years. When I changed schools, I taught 2nd grade for 5 years. After that, I spent a year and a half as a curriculum coordinator. My roles changed one again and I was back in the classroom for a half a year as a K-12 math and reading specialist. It was my privilege to help students stay on grade level so they passed to the next grade. That experience was followed by a year of teaching 6th grade math and literature. Now I get to homeschool my own children, which is very rewarding!
I would classify myself as strict, but fun! I enjoy watching my students "light up" as they find out something new or understand a concept they have struggled to grasp. While education is important, relationships with my students and between my students are priority.

DEGREES:
♦ B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders
♦ M.Ed. in Urban Education
My passion is to create educational resources my children enjoy as I homeschool them. If they enjoy it, I know other children will enjoy it too! My goal is to give students a love for learning with the resources I provide.
