Registered Nursing Midwifery
Tracey Haimes: Author of 'The Perfect Tooth' was born in Otaki New Zealand and moved to Australia with her family in her younger years. Tracey has had an interest in the arts from a young age, during her school years and currently as a recreational activity. Tracey found the idea for this e-book and interactive playwright (and colouring version, coming soon) during her Registered Nursing training, on a health promotion placement in Western Australia. During this practicum Tracey found it most enjoyable constructing a play on oral hygiene which she used eight student colleagues to participate. This really got the message across to the young children and the adults/parents/caregivers/support people in a fun and interactive way. (The children were taking their toothbrushes to school, after they had seen the play) This in turn gave Tracey the inspiration to turn the play into a book.
