TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching science in Tustin, California since 2000.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Science should be fun and engaging. With the rigor of learning science should come application and a reference back to prior experience. It is through this process that students are motivated to learn and connect what happens in the classroom to everyday experiences.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Finalist for Orange County Teacher of the Year in 2005. I also have won several awards for coaching our Science Olympiad Team.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from Colorado State University in 1997 with a BS in Biology and Zoology (with a history minor). I have earned my credential and Masters in Education from National University.
