TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my 5th year as a middle school math teacher. I spent one year teaching 5th grade math. I am currently teaching 7th grade math and enjoy every second of it!

MY TEACHING STYLE

Peer teaching, peer teaching, and more peer teaching. Collaborative activities and guided practice are my go-to anytime I can get students working together, discussing, and communicating mathematically. I am a firm believer in a student-led classroom and find it to be not only motivating, but effective and necessary for the mathematical and social development of my students. I love creativity in my classroom, so I incorporate foldables and "cutesie" note-taking methods and activities when possible. There is no greater joy than teaching and watching students fall in love with learning!
