TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught Family and Consumer Sciences for 9 years in a 2A school. In addition, I have taught many professional development sessions to teachers across the state of Texas over a variety of FCS-related topics.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style includes a lot of scaffolding and student-led activities. I typically like to spend a day introducing a new topic and then turn it over to the students to complete their own activities (digital worksheets, projects, webquests, etc). Next, I try to incorporate a hands-on activity to help solidify their knowledge of the content.
