TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have a dual bachelors in Elementary Education and Early Childhood. I have over 10 years experience teaching kindergarten and preschool. I have also taught 1st grade and 4th grade.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe children learn best through hands-on interactive lessons. I use centers and learning games in all my classrooms regardless of the grade I taught because I believe children learn best through play. Everything I do is research and experience based. I believe we have a lot of knowledge about the best practices for teaching children and we should use that knowledge to give our students the best instruction.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have presented on the state and district levels in the areas of phonemic awareness, parent involvement, and kindergarten mathematics. I have worked with university professors and graduate students on research projects and implementation of best practices.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated with my dual bachelors from Utah State University. I recieved my ESL endorsement from USOE. I have also taken many reading endorsement classes through Weber State University and USOE.
