I started my teaching career as a math teacher, and during that time, I relied heavily on Teachers Pay Teachers to make my classes more engaging and save time. However, when I switched to teaching business and marketing, I couldn't find the resources I needed on TPT, so I decided to create everything myself. This experience led me to start my own TPT store, where I share the resources I've developed to support fellow educators like you!
In my classes, I enjoy challenging my students while making learning fun. Creativity is a key aspect of my teaching approach, and I love incorporating popular topics with teens to make the lessons relevant to their lives. Students engage in activities that demonstrate what they have learned after the content is presented, giving them a chance to showcase their understanding individually or in groups.
Completing the challenging NYC Teaching Fellows program was a significant achievement, and it shaped me as an educator. Additionally, seeing my students progress from initially expecting an easy elective to genuinely engaging and learning a lot throughout the year brings me immense pride.
I hold a BA in Economics from Columbia University and an MS in Secondary Education from St. John's University. My fascination with business extends beyond the classroom, and I'm always learning new things, taking classes, and staying ahead of industry trends.
Seeing my student's growth and development is truly rewarding. Their assignments improve, their answers become more thoughtful, and they participate actively in competitions. Some have even decided to pursue careers in business and marketing after taking my classes, which inspires me every day.
