Curiosity and the Hungry Mind

Hello, I'm an Elementary/Primary School Teacher. I currently teach as a STEM specialist. I have previously held many different positions. Classroom, PE, Performing Arts and Visual Arts. Some may say I'm a jack of all trades.

I believe students need every opportunity to DO things. They need to use their hands to manipulate an object. They need the experience of DOING an activity (not just being told about it). This gives them an extra avenue for learning. They have looked and used their eyes, they have heard and used their ears and now it's time to DO and use their hands.

With a passion for travel and a curiosity to explore and learn new things I was bound to become a teacher. I am a jack of all trades. I have been a leader on an outdoor adventure camp, I use to make ice-cream cakes at Baskin and Robbins. I worked at a video store. I use to dress as a witch for the front desk of a Musical Theater Restaurant. I ran the activities for a resort off the coast of Queensland, Australia. I lived and worked in Canada, UK and France. I studied part of my Education Degree in Mexico.
