TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I began teaching 2nd grade in Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland. After 4 wonderful years, I moved to Baltimore County and married my husband. This will be my fifth year teaching 5th grade for BCPS. I recently earned my Masters Degree in Reading Education and look forward to pursuing more literacy opportunities in the future!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I run a very student-centered classroom. I believe in teaching students to take initiative, use their resources, and constantly work towards independent and critical thinking. I am a huge proponent of small group discussions and project based learning. I incorporate technology whenever possible, and I am interested in learning more about how to do this with limited resources.
