I've spent the past 2 decades teaching in the elementary grades. I've taught kindergarten through 4th, multi-age rooms & self-contained and been a History teacher in 5th-8th grades.
I'm a bit of an ecclectic teacher. I've seen a lot of new "fads" & theories come down the pike since I started my career. Some have been great and others a total bust. I've tried to learn a little something from each and incorporate the best parts in to what I do in the classroom. I love to challenge my students and watch them succeed in ways they didn't expect. I believe in keeping a good sense of humor in the room too. After all, learning can be great fun.
