TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Currently, I'm a middle-level ELA teacher for both seventh and eighth grade in regular-ed and GT. Prior to middle-level, I taught ELA in an alternative placement facility for grades 9-12, and solely ELA in grade 9 at a high school.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Honestly, I make it up on the fly. For so many years, I've been given outdated Unit Plans and/or sections of Unit Plans and I've struggled to find things that I can tailor to my individual classes. I took to making it all up, and creating my own lessons as a way to provide more scaffolding for the lower level students.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I'm still holding out for these! LOL

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a Bachelor's in International Studies, with a concentration in Latin American Culture and Political Systems and a minor in Spanish from Francis Marion University, and I am currently enrolled in their Master's Program for Instructional Accommodation.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am also an Amazon bestselling romance novelist.
