TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught for four years in a unique multi-grade environment - including all subjects from grades 1-8. Then I taught fourth grade for two years. After finishing my M.Ed. in Literacy Instruction, I moved from the elementary classroom to teaching university classes in literacy for students who are planning on becoming teachers.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe all students are capable of learning and I hold high expectations of my students. I love doing math, reading, and writing workshops and have found them to be an excellent method for teaching those subjects.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Graduate Dean's Scholastic Achievement Award

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from Walla Walla University with my bachelor's in 2008 and graduated with my M.Ed. in Literacy Instruction in 2012.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I love helping students learn that they can accomplish great things when they set their mind to it and work hard.
