All Good with Miss Hood

Hi! I'm Stacey, a primary school teacher and year level coordinator in Australia. I absolutely love my job and my passion is creating meaningful, engaging lessons that allow students to really immerse themselves in their learning! I'm a big literacy buff and all about getting students engaged in reading and writing - so far, with a lot of success!

My teaching style is constantly changing - it depends on the cohort of kids! I am big on setting clear expectations early on in the school year to create an organised, well-managed classroom. I LOVE displays so my classroom always has a fun theme (llamas this year.. it's llama zing!) and the kids get right into it. We have fun and laugh a lot, all while learning at our different points of need. I believe it's important for all students to experience success and so we are continually setting and reevaluating goals to further our learning. I have a massive technology focus in my classroom - with all students using an iPad - so a lot of my resources are designed for the students to follow along with on their iPad or access independently. Often, there are presentations designed to be mirrored onto the classroom IWB or Apple TV and worksheets to accompany that task.
