Description

Welcome to the Up We Grow Social Emotional Learning Curriculum for Preschoolers. This curriculum has been designed with children aged 3 to 4 years old in mind, and contains 42 games and activities, advice for parents, and a list of additional resources that support this programme. All the resources are visually engaging and colourful with minimal use of written text: perfect for our toddlers! There are also many games to play outdoors or indoors that are perfect for high energy kids who prefer running around than sitting at a desk.

The learning objectives in this curriculum are fully aligned with the Development Matters Statements in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) for age group 30-50 months. If your child is attending a childcare setting, this corresponds to Preschool level and will fully prepare your child to enter school at Reception level (Pre-K in the US) if this is what you are planning later on. If you are a homeschooling parent wanting to support your little one with Self Regulation, and Social Emotional Learning, this curriculum is perfect for you!

What will my child learn?

The Up We Grow Social Emotional Learning curriculum focuses on 4 areas of learning:

  • Self Regulation: your little one will learn to talk about the 6 basic emotions (happy, sad, angry, excited, tired, scared) and articulate how they feel, some effective coping strategies, and will begin to know how to calm themselves down and manage their own emotions.
  • Empathy: this section will help our toddlers understand that their actions may hurt others and to start recognising other’s feelings and emotions
  • Relationships: in this section, we start with basic concepts such as sharing and taking turns, and then we start teaching our children about inclusivity and teamwork.
  • Self-Love and Growth Mindset: here the goal is to introduce our toddlers to self-love, teach them to think and speak positively about themselves, teach them that a mistake is an opportunity to learn and give them the powerful habit of continuously wanting to grow and improve.
