I created this letter to send home the first day to give parent's a great first impression of their child's new teacher. Chicken Soup with Rice coloring book
I use this booklet after reading the book Chicken Soup with Rice by Maurice Sendak. The children can use the blank books to draw their own pictures to go along with the words on each page. The optional version with original line drawings is included for children who can not yet read to remind them of the occasion celebrated each month. I keep one copy with the drawings laminated for the students to reference. You can delete the images in the Publisher file from each month, print, and cut to get
