This is a great end of year math project! You can give students a career with a realistic salary and challenge them to create a monthly budget. This "3x2 Digit Multiplication Outline" is great for students who struggle with lining up their numbers when multiplying and when using the standard algorithm with two numbers that are least 2 digits. It has the "0" or place holder already there and just sets students up for success. This can be used for decimal numbers as well. I printed out a few copies on bright paper and placed them in clear pocket protectors to use in my classroom.
