Open-Up Resources Algebra 1: Unit 1, Lesson 3
This is different from the PowerPoint created by Open Up Resources. I've taken the student workbook and created a presentation to walk students through the various aspects of the lesson, in a step-by-step format. This presentation has detailed presenter notes enabling a substitute to walk your students through the lesson making it perfect for sub-plans. It also includes the steps for solving the Ready, Set, Go if your students need guided interventions.

Alg 1 -- Solving Quadratic Equations by Taking Square Roots
This is a PowerPoint lesson that I use in both Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 to show how to solve quadratic equations when there is no "b" value. I use this as the first method for solving quadratics as it helps get the students ready for the final steps used when solving quadratics by completing the square.

Alg 1 -- Mixture Problems
I created this PowerPoint lesson for my Algebra 1 classes. It corresponds to Section 2.6 in the Prentice Hall textbook -- California Algebra 1. This lesson shows students how to solve Mixture Problems with one variable. Because class time does not allow for students to copy the problems down, and work them out, (and just having the algebra doesn't help them with their homework), I created a Word document that I xerox for them to use as notes. Alg 1 -- Simplifying Rational Expressions
This Powerpoint lesson coordinates with Section 11.1 of the Prentice Hall CA Algebra 1 textbook. I created it for my Algebra 1 classes to show how to simplify algebraic fractions. It is the first lesson I use to teach Rational Expressions.
