The Scientific Method - "A Rose By Any Other Name..." Experiment
The purpose of this activity is to allow students to think critically to answer a seemingly simple question. In this case, it’s to test a classic Shakespearean quote that claims that a rose would still smell beautiful if it was called something else. The students will need to use the scientific method to determine a way to answer that question. They will also need to design a test to empirically show that changing the name of something will not affect the smell.
