I use this lesson after I have taught about the causes of WWI and how the war ended. Students are familiar with the Treaty of Versailles and the impact that it had on Germany. The purpose of including this lesson here, is to help them to understand how important the concept of identity is in their everyday lives- the way they view the world (perspective), the way they view themselves and the way they view others.
