In this activity students will use the properties of magnets; like poles repel and unlike poles attract. Using a simple binary code of 1's and 0's, the students can make letters or words. There are 16 four-digit binary codes to use to make letters. You can choose the letters on the Binary Code sheet, or allow the groups to create their own letter to number sequence codes.
