Distance & Displacement Lab

Created by
Valerie Randall
This partner activity is best performed outside (but a large space should work) as students are walking and measuring in meters. Students will calculate their distance and displacement and may want a calculator. Answer key is not provided as student "steps" differ in size. Students walk, graph, calculate, and improve their understanding of a calculated distance vs. a calculated displacement. May require longer than 1 class period for some groups.
