Whose tools are those a sorting activity for the community helpers theme
This is a great sorting activity for the community helpers theme. Each page contains pictures of 2 community helpers and 4 or 5 objects that are associated with the helpers. The students will move the objects to their respective community helper.

This is an interactive lesson that I use once I have covered basic community helpers and what they use. In this activity is asks a question like "what do firemen drive to a fire?" It provides a visual cue like a picture of a fireman, and then choices in a field of 3. When the child selects the correct choice it models that language like "a firetruck".

Mat Man Creation Flip Chart
Great way for preschool students to create mat man and develop their drawing of the human body. Easy to use and very simple to teach. I add two things to have a little extra fun with the students. Quel Type de Film? game: Practicing French Cinema/ Film Vocab
This flipchart game is used with dry-erase boards to practice film genres in French. It was created based on Chapter 12 of the Bon Voyage, Level One, French series.
Game premise: On one slide, I describe a popular film in French. Then, students must guess on their dry-erase boards the title of the film (in English) and the genre of the film (in French).

Les Miserables: Flipchart Pre-Lesson/Introduction for Movie
This flipchart lesson contains over 10 slides of information about the novel "Les Miserables" by Victor Hugo. The chart uses colorful photos from the most recent film version of "Les Miserables," which stars Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean.
I use this lesson on the plot of Les Mis as an introduction to the story before showing the film in my French III class. The level of French utilized in this lesson is best suited for French 3 or 4, but it can be taught at lower levels through assisted reading

This is an introductory lesson to community helpers. There is a song about helpers and pictures of 11 different helpers and a brief description of what they do. Then the last section is a question format such as "who helps put out fires" and your children should select the correct picture (with a reinforcing sound for choosing correctly).

What goes together (a basic sorting and categorizing activity)
This is the second part to my introduction about things that go together like socks and shoes, combs and brushes, etc. In this activity students will put 2 items that go together in its appropriate box. The slides initially start of with 1 of the items already in a box so that student select what goes with it, but it eventually moves to empty boxes that children sort by which things go together.

Letter Formation using Lines and Curves ActivInspire Flipchart
In this flipchart, students will use different lines/curves to form upper case letters. There are different degrees of difficulty. It starts with the letter to drag the pieces over, then fill in the missing letters with no supports (two pages of this) then creating all of the letters with no supports. This is a great introduction to where animals live and sleep and what they eat. It includes pages for the children to select which animals live on the farm, they can click the animal and see what it eats, etc. Its a great simplistic activity to introduce these concepts to kids.

Making comparisons Full vs Empty Flipchart
This is an activity that I use to introduce the concept of making comparisons and full vs empty. In this activity, students look at a few examples of items that are full or empty and then have a field of 2 in which they select the one that is full or empty. What does not belong (categories, negation, and differences)
This is one of 2 introductory lessons into sorting and categorization. Essentially children look at a field of 4 pictures and choose the one that is different and doesn't belong. When they select the appropriate picture it plays a reinforcing sound. The pictures begin very basic and get more complex as you go into the chart.

Name Writing with Letter Match flip Chart
This flip chart is designed for a classroom. Students will drag a name from a student in their class, drag letters to match the name, then write the name. My kiddos always have a hard time with sorting by category and finding items that are similar but not the same, so I created tons of pages for practice. This chart has categories from colors, food, transportation, and clothing. On each page there are things that belong with the named category and things that don't and a direction such as "circle all the things that are red" or "put an X on the things that are not hats"

I spy (shapes)
Students get to play I spy on the promethian board. The first few pages have "obvious" shapes on the page and when students select the shape it plays a reinforcing sound. The last few pages are pictures in which students identify shapes within the picture.
