The Island of Earth & Beginning of Time ~ a story of a Native American myth
This is a nice little story based on a Cherokee myth about the beginning of time. I originally wrote it for my 2nd grade class to learn proper nouns and thought it was also nice as story by itself. Plus, it got me drawing again, and even though I've seen better illustrations, they are mine and were fun to do.
This can also be used for Thanksgiving!

This is a very cute Thanksgiving Day story that I wrote and my daughter Bella drew. It teaches a wonderful story about not bragging and teasing others.

I have used this sheet when asking students what they are thankful for around Thanksgiving time. Once I get everyone's answers I make copies and send home for the parents to see. I also like to post this outside of the classroom for the entire school to see what my class is thankful for. With the younger children, they can sometimes be extremely funny!
