Myths about the African Continent Easel Worksheet
There is no other continent as misunderstood as the African continent! This worksheet will introduce students to some of the myths perpetuated by western media concerning Africa, in hopes that the knowledge contained within will start a classroom conversation and stop the vicious cycle of misinformation about the 2nd largest continent. It would be great for teachers to ask students what images come to mind when they hear the word Africa, and see if any of their answers are more myth than facts.
