Moon Misconceptions: A Science Integrated Unit
Learning through exploration is the name of the game - after completing this unit your kids will have a high-level understanding of several of the moon's main characteristics (and be able to explain common misconceptions too!).

Is There a Man in the Moon?: Non-fiction Reading Strategies and Measurement
This is a two-day lesson designed around dis-proving one of the rumors about the moon - specifically, the man in the moon. As a teacher, I struggled to find non-fiction articles that met the reading level and grade level of my students - so many articles were too easy, too difficult, or the subject matter was inappropriate!
