The Omnivore's Dilemma: Young Readers Edition is an amazing resource for teaching students the research process. It's interesting, relevant to their lives, and is an awesome platform for inquiry based learning.

This is the accompanying teaching sequence for the unit “Teaching Claim Evidence Reasoning (CER): A Whodunit Mystery.” It includes a mystery to solve, all the evidence (which can be turned into manipulatives), rubrics for presentations and writing, teaching instructions, graphic organizers, and solutions.
