My Beach Ball
This is a silly song to the tune of "My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean." My class usually plays this game in a large circle rolling a beach ball. Write letters, word family words, sight words, numbers or math facts on the beach ball. Play the song then pause it. The child holding the beach ball when the song stops has to read the word or solve the problem under his/her right hand. Much more fun than flash cards.

This is an ActiveBoard flipchart file. Students write fact families in hearts on the first page, then write fact families from the examples given. on a separate piece of writing paper.
The first page is used for instructor examples, then the students may come up and fill out the hearts on the second page with fact families. On the third page, students write out the equations for the fact families, such as
