In this STEM/NGSS lesson, students answer a series of probing questions about temperature difference and heat transfer.Students extend their understanding by reading a Hemingway short story in which a boy believes he is going to die because he misinterprets a temperature reading as Fahrenheit instead of Celsius. Students then answer summary questions about how the main idea of the short story relates to the big ideas (Enduring Understandings) of Unit 2.
