I created this document for students to demonstrate their understand of what they observe in class. The intent is that when student are coming up with answers to the driving question or to create a model they are going to be exposed to different lectures, labs, demos, etc. The students would write down their observation in the observed section, and then write down what is occurring (at the microscopic level, or with how matter or energy interact, etc. ) in the unobserved section.
