This is an inferencing activity. Students will read the third and fourth chapters of Sign of the Beaver and complete the graphic organizer. The graphic organizer contains direct quotes from the text and students will fill in their background knowledge and inference based on the quote. This book also allows teachers to integrate Native Americans within the ELA block.

The graphic organizer contains direct quotes from the text and students will fill in their background knowledge and inference based on the quote. This set includes 2 versions of the graphic organizer. Version 1 students are given all the quotes and determine the inferences based on the text.
