A lesson designed to teach middle schoolers about the Periodic Table of Elements. The lesson introduces students to the organization of the table. What information is found on the table and how it can be used. There are notes, a link to a song, a brainpop, several practice slides, several question review, and an exit slip to assess student mastery.

Rocks and Minerals Assessment Activity Smart Board
This is a SMART board activity that can be used as whole class review/introduction of rocks and minerals or it can be used as individual assessment of rocks and minerals. This assessment/activity covers the three types of rocks, igneous, sedimentary, metamorphic, difference between a rock and mineral, mineral properties, moh's hardness scale, and volcanoes. My students love to use individual computers and SMART notebook to complete this assessment at the end of my rocks and minerals unit.
